Welcome to Well Cares Swimming! We offer personalised swimming lessons in Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Aalsmeer and Diemen for children and adolescents with special needs, adults, expats and beginners.
Whether you are looking for specialised swimming lessons for a child with autism, ADHD or Down syndrome, adult swimming lessons in English, or help overcoming a fear of water, we provide patient, individual guidance tailored to every swimmer’s needs and abilities.
Our lessons combine building water confidence with developing swimming skills and improving water safety. Whether your goal is to feel more comfortable in the water, improve your technique or work towards a Dutch swimming diploma, we help you progress step by step at your own pace. Our aim is to help every swimmer build confidence, achieve personal goals and enjoy swimming safely.
All lessons last 45 minutes and are available in English and Dutch, in a warm, safe and supportive environment.

FREE Try out session
During this session you will discover the way water can work for you. You will learn the basic elements of moving around in the water. Your coach will rate your current level of swimming.
I had a fantastic experience with this swimming class! As someone who couldn’t swim at all before starting, I was amazed by the progress I made. This is the fourth swimming school we’ve gone to, in a desperate attempt to get our 11 year old daughter with autism across the Diploma A line! Miel took the time to understand her needs and struggles. He was gentle, patient and kind. Miel was also able to provide these children with locations that are not crowded and loud, so the noise and chaos is kept to a minimum. We are grateful beyond words to Miel’s attention to our daughter!
I strongly recommend Well Cares Swimming. The lessons are always in warm, shallow water and the coach is super kind and patient. The school also offers a lot more flexibility than other swim schools. Definitely 10/10!

Gewoon helemaal super! Mijn zoontje gaat altijd met veel plezier heen en wilt absoluut geen andere zwemleraar meer! Miel is een topper! Dus heb je een kind dat bijvoorbeeld meer ondersteuning nodig heeft of wil je graag zelf nog leren zwemmen? Dit is de plek waar je moet zijn!!
Miel is een heel geduldige en kundige zwemdocent, die precies weet in te schatten wat zijn leerling(en) nodig hebben om zich als een vis in het water te (gaan) voelen 🐠 Ik zie steeds hoe ontspannen en blij iedereen altijd is tijdens een les van hem.
